User Interface Week 18 (06) Reading task

I first thought this weeks tasks would be much more difficult than they were in actuality. i had a quick re-read over the highlighted paragraphs in my work and began writing my first paragraphs for each section. i found it strange that one section where i had quite a good bit of information i found it quite difficult to write a lot about whereas one of my themes had very little information but i felt that i could write quite a bit on the subject matter when the time comes. I feel like i will be able to explain the theme UI's affect on game play quite well by using real game examples, for example how in Doom 2016, the UI being the health and ammo drops encourage players to be aggressive and get more kills when they are low on health or ammo. This is a perfect example of UI being used well by a developer to control game play types in comparison to how the UI in the Witcher 3 forces players to spend more time staring at their mini map on the HUD rather than taking advantage of player knowledge to carry out tasks. I feel like i could expand on these types of UI designs further to explain how UI affects gameplay more clearly when i come to writng for the actual assignment.
